Chumpi Belt #2 tools The Mesa is the AncientChumpi Belts Woven from the Heart of the Andes These sacred Chumpi belts originate from Peru, woven in the community of Pachanta at the foot of Apu Ausangate, where alpacas roam freely across the high Andean landscape. The wool is hand shorn, hand spun, washed, dyed, and woven by the women, men, and elders of the community using traditional back strap looms. Each belt carries stories of lineage and is crafted from start to finish with deep intention
